Ryan made it through boot camp and can still smile about it so it must not have been that bad. He's also finished now with his training to be a cannon crew operator - apparently he's the guy that holds the radio and makes sure its all clear.

He had a couple weeks off before he had to report in Washington state so he stayed with us and the kids took full advantage of him. Ryan lived with us for the first couple years of the quads' lives so they've missed him terribly while he was gone, and we sure missed all the extra help he gave us around here. So the kids followed him around like puppy dogs for the couple weeks he was here, and although he's way too cool to admit it, I think he was eating up all that attention. And then we put him to work on all these projects that we never seem to have time to finish. Poor Ryan, it might be more like a vacation for him to go back to the Army!
